Moveall will ask whether you plan on moving dangerous goods. But, we can’t be there while you’re packing up your house, so to stay safe, follow our guide to moving dangerous goods.
In Australia, the Dangerous Goods Act 1985 governs moving dangerous goods and transport of hazardous goods. Under the act, Moveall is prohibited from moving substances that are corrosive, flammable, explosive, spontaneously combustible, toxic, oxidising or water-reactive.
Please ensure no prohibited, dangerous goods (as per the definition above) are included with your consignment. This limits the chance of associated damage to your valuables, and greatly reduces the risk of injury to your loved ones, the general public, and the Moveall team.

Exceptions to Moving Dangerous Goods
Some dangerous goods can be moved safely, but the correct preparation & packing techniques are paramount.
LPG Gas Bottles. Moving safely means LPG gas bottles must be completely empty and packed a safe distance away from ignition sources.
Lawn Mowers and Gardening Equipment. To be moved safely, motorised machinery must be emptied of all fuel and oil.
Scuba Tanks. Moving these dangerous goods is possible, provided that scuba tanks are completely empty and valves are either open or removed.
If your belongings cannot fit in the first truck, based on availability, a back up team will attend with an extra truck at an additional charge, or the first team may be able to return for a second trip if they are running ahead of schedule. If they cannot, it is advisable to ask the Moveall Team to leave goods you can move yourself.
Does Moveall move potted plants?
In most cases it is difficult to move pot plants as they often have bugs, insects and are too dirty to travel with your household items. In some cases, to be assessed on the day by our Moveall Team, we are able to move certain potted plants.
To save time and money, it’s best to hire a trailer for a minimal cost from your local service station and move them prior to your move day.
Does the Moveall Team disconnect electronics and whitegoods?
We do not disconnect fridges, televisions, washing machines, dryers or anything else. Each item should be prepared properly prior to your moving day.
Is there anything I shouldn’t pack?
There are some items we do not move, please review the Dangerous Goods Policy before packing.
